What do u think the flyer should weigh in cheerleading?

I am in 8th grade and I was a flier.

1. I want to know if I should be a flier again.

I weigh 81 pounds - 85 pounds

and about 5 feet.

I am in 8th grade and I was a flier in 7th.

I am pretty strong though [from flying]

I am the lightest returning flier but I don’t know if the returning bases are strong enough, but I can lit a 95lbs flier. PLEASE HELP ME.

In truth you are under weight for your height. Your Body Mass Index or BMI is 16.6 that is low, anything under 18.5 is considered under weight. So, no you are not fat.

You can do a google search for a BMI calculator and see for yourself.

As to if you should be a base or a flyer that really is up to your ability and that of your team, not your weight. That said, your still light enough to be a very good flyer.

you should OBVIOUSLY be a flyer if you weigh 81-85 pounds.

heck i weigh 100 pounds, im 5′1.5 and im a flyer
but you also have to have some muscle so that you can push yourself up there and keep your balance
but you already know that if you have been a flyer before.
you also have to be very brave

1. you can definitely be a flyer again
2. you can base if you prefer, but only if you’re strong enough
3. if anything, you are underweigh
